Weave a necklace of dancing starfish using coiled cubic right-angle weave (cCRAW)! The Twisty Starfish Necklace features a family of beaded starfish woven from seed beads, bicone crystals, rounds, and fire polish beads, all using a variation of CRAW that naturally twists and coils based on its specific thread path. Stitch a solo starfish for a delightful pendant, or create additional starfish to stitch bracelets or matching earrings.

This pattern is appropriate for beaders who are proficient in cubic right-angle weave and who would like to further explore coiled CRAW. Beaders who have stitched the Star Fragment Pendants are in great shape to try out this design, but if you're new to this technique, this pattern also includes a detailed overview of coiled CRAW.

Materials

To stitch this necklace, you'll need:

  • 3mm and 4mm bicone crystals
  • 3mm and 4mm fire polish beads
  • 4mm round beads
  • 15°, 11°, and 8° Japanese seed beads
  • A two-ring slide clasp
  • Beading thread (6lb Fireline)
Note: Kits do not contain a needle and thread.
